This is Pastor Aaron and welcome to your daily walk. We closed out Nehemiah yesterday and uh chapter 13 just hits weird. It hits kind of disappointing. Um, God's done amazing things. Chapter 12 is all about his praise and and and people are excited, there's rejoicing, and then chapter 13 is just about disobedience after disobedience after disobedience. And strangely, even Nehemiah seems to be arrogant or braggadocious about look at all the things I have done instead of closing out by saying, Look at all the things God has done. It I think reminds us that even in Nehemiah's day, they were longing for a greater restoration. Nehemiah was a hero for Israel, and Nehemiah did great things, but there was someone that could be a better hero, someone that could be a better redeemer, and I think you know where I'm going, that better redeemer is Jesus. It takes us to our daily walk verse, which is Hebrews chapter 1, verse 1 through 3. It says this Long ago, and many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days, he has spoken to us by his son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on High. We have a great redeemer. We close that service by singing the song Christ is enough for me. If you don't know it, I encourage you to look it up and sing it again. And maybe a more direct challenge this week. Would you get out a piece of paper or journal and write 10 ways that Christ is enough? Maybe just number one, Christ is enough because, and fill in the blank and see what that does in your relationship with the Lord as you uh have a mindset or attitude of gratitude. Christ indeed is enough, He is our great redeemer, and I want us to dwell on that idea all week long. Church family, I am so encouraged by the worship that we had.
