Good morning and thank you for beginning your day with us. I'm out here at Highland Lakes hanging out with some of our kids at kids' camp this week. So if you hear any screaming or yelling or fun in the background, just know it's a lot of kids having fun in the name of Jesus this week. But hey, this past Sunday we looked at 2 Timothy chapter 1 verses 1 through 7 to see that every single one of us as a follower of Jesus has a faith that we are called to pass down to the next generation. Whether that's grandparents, parents, or mentors, and then we're also called to see the next generation for you to receive the faith that's being passed down. All of us are called to participate in this holy cycle of discipleship. But this morning I want to read to you encouragement coming from 1 Timothy chapter 1, verse 8. This is the verse right after what we talked about this past Sunday, and it says this. And then he says, Therefore, be strong and endure for the gospel. My encouragement to you this morning is to heed the words of Paul here. That in life there might be trials, there might be circumstances that aren't fun to deal with, there might be situations that we wish that God would just take away from us. Rather than asking God to take these situations away from us, ask God to use them in our life to help mold us and shape us into the follower of Jesus that He desires for us to be, moving us forward in better obedience. Let's endure well for the sake of the gospel, because we know that this life is just temporary and that the sufferings in this world are because of sin, not how God intended it to be. But let us look forward and strive to finish the race well. Let's look forward to that day when God will establish his kingdom here on this earth. But until then, we endure for the sake of the gospel because Christ endured much for us. That's all that I have for you this morning. I hope that it was encouraging. Let's strive to magnify Christ and share the gospel in our homes in the Wimberley Valley and beyond. Peace.
